no matter how many articles i read i can never understand what they mean by "apples of your cheeks." How do you find the apples to apply blush? Same goes for "hollows of your cheeks/face"
Ahh, whatever you do, do not apply blush directly to the apple of your cheeks when you smile. The “apples” of your cheeks are basically the parts of your cheeks that round out when you smile, lol I can’t really explain it. But you do not want to apply it directly there. You want to apply your blush when your face is at its natural rest. You do this because when you smile, your cheeks lift up, but when they’re rested, they fall down. You don’t want your blush to fall down w/ your cheeks if that makes sense. Apply it directly on your cheekbones. You can feel for the bones if you don’t know where they are on your cheeks. This will “lift” the appearance of your face rather than slump it down with all that blush.
Hollows of your cheeks are directly under your cheekbone, which you can feel for also. That’s where you apply bronzer.
