NARS single eyeshadow in Ondine - $24
I am OBSESSED with this eyeshadow right now. It’s a gorgeous plummy taupy brown with little flex of gold shimmer. I genuinely think this is a color universal for all eye colors. If you’re not big on eyeshadows and want to try something new, I highly recommend this! It can be worn as an all-over lid color, a medium color for a smokey eye, a blending color for deeper colors, or even as an eyeliner for light skin tones! I’ve never had a problem with NARS eyeshadows creasing or not being long-wearing. This one is no exception. A+!

Here’s a better view of the makeup I did on a client for her bridal shower :)
I used my BH Cosmetics Party Girl palette for this eye look. On her lips are NYX lip liner pencil in Rose, L’Oreal Infallible lipstick in Forever Frappe and Buxom Lip gloss in White Russian. Blush is NARS Orgasm.
It actually does stay on the waterline for a couple hours. It won’t stay perfect (the color may smear with the top waterline if you tightline) all day but for the most part the color is still there. It doesn’t hurt to reapply because the color is sooo opaque that you really only need one swipe of it to get good pigmentation. I would only touch up about once throughout the day! =) NARS also has one in Rue Bonaparte and MAC has one in NW25/NW30 but I’m not sure how much they retail for or how they perform in comparison.

Not a huge fan of the blush because of all the shimmer in it, but love the gloss.

Femme Fetch: Push Eyeliner Brush
I am convinced that everyone needs a push eyeliner brush in their collection. The reason I am so adamant about the possesion of this brush by all femme divas is because of the possibilities it opens up for your makeup. I love being able to use my favorite shadow pigments in more precise and detailed ways.
- Great for gel/ cream liner application
- Use with powder to set cream/ gel liners on eyes
- Push your favorite eye shadow into the eyes as an eyeliner
- Use to line lips with precision
One of the most amazing things about a push eyeliner brush is that there is no real need for the most expensive hairs or fibers to make it work well. You can pick up a push eyeliner brush from most makeup lines or an arts & crafts store.
I favor more firm fibers, but this means you need to push the brush onto the eyes, never drag it across.
Here is my eyeliner tutorial were I use the standard 209 MAC brush and a push eyeliner brush from Smashbox.
I do agree. I still need one. :/
THE LOOK: BRONZE SKIN
The first week of Coachella kicks off this weekend and trying to not look like a hot mess at a 3 day music festival is no easy task. Take a cue from the Michael Kors Spring 2012 runway and go for a natural sun-kissed look. Really all you need to pull it off is a few swipes of bronzer on the cheekbones, forehead, and down the bridge of the nose. Now go enjoy the music!
