NYX Black Label Lipstick in Nude ($7.50 at Nordstrom Rack)

Bottom picture is what it looks like with a darker nude lipgloss over. By itself it’s not a color that flatters my skin tone as it’s way too light for me (didn’t wanna scare you guys with a picture so I didn’t take one hahaha). But mixed with a darker nude the color it turns into a beautiful light pinky nude perfect for everyday. 

The formulation of this lipstick is not my favorite. It’s very opaque and you definitely get the color you see, but it does not settle evenly, at least when I purse my lips together it doesn’t. It feels very thin on the lips, nothing heavy or moisturizing about this lipstick at all. It’s not the driest lipstick, but it’s certainly not one you’d go to for moisture. You do have to make sure you moisturize your lips well before application or it will accentuate dryness and flakes.

I recommend this color for fair to light medium skin tones, any undertone. Not impressed with this certain color for myself, but I do plan on returning it for another color and see how that goes.

Got this palette for an amazing deal - 20% off the sale price on sephora.com a while ago. The shadows and arrangement of colors of this palette are freakin beautiful. They’re all shimmer, but I could honestly care less because most of the shades in this palette I don’t have elsewhere in my collection. The pigmentation and texture of the shadows are also great. I can’t wait to actually wear them! I’ve heard good things about bareMinerals eyeshadows!

Inglot Eyeshadow Swatches!

If you watched my recent haul video on my channel (youtube.com/shaaannnlei), you know that I bought five beautiful eyeshadows from Inglot and are probably expecting this post by now haha :D 

Each single eyeshadow retails for only $6. Pretty amazing for a high end makeup brand!

Aren’t they gorgeous? The coral color is a lot more pigmented in person, and the champagne color is beautiful in light. The picture doesn’t do justice.

I’ll most likely be buying more of these over MAC eyeshadows. I’m in looove.

Review: NYX Retractable Lip Liner 

Shades shown: Jewel, Peony, Citrus, Nude Pink, Red

I absolutely love these!! Since you don’t need a pointy tip to apply lip liners these retractable ones are perfect. First off, the packaging is great. The colors on the lips are true to the colors on the packaging. They glide on smooth and give amazing pigmentation. You could use them as not only a lip liner but a lip color with a bit of balm over it since they are rather drying, as all lip liners are. They have a wide color selection  (I believe there are about 20 or so) which give you the nudest color, to pinks, to mauves, to berries, to browns, to even a black! Some of them give off a kind of pearl finish (like the top three shown) and they have gorgeous matte ones too (like the two bottom shown). Some shades won’t match to every skin color or tone, but at least there’s a ton of other shades to choose from. They last all day, and they’re waterproof! Can’t get a better deal.

My rating: 10/10

AHHHH this product is a must have. The concept: texture and wear of an extremely moisturizing lip balm while still giving the pigmentaion of a sheer lipstick. I don’t think any other drugstore brand has ever come out with something as unique as this. They feel exactly like a lip balm yet they are pigmented enough to serve as a lipstick if worn several layers. It lasts a long time. From 8 or 9am to 5pm, the color was still there and my lips were still very moisturized although I did re-apply it a few times throughout the day because of eating and drinking and whatnot. I loveeeee it!
